Mindfulness - so what?
Do you take as much care with how your mind is as you do with how you look, before a meeting or before having an important conversation?
Practicing mindfulness, even for a few minutes a day, can really make a difference to how you show up in your own life. Research is everywhere now, for good reason, as the benefits are huge.
The notion of ‘intent’ is a big one and just thinking about this can have a powerful impact on all your interactions. Starting the day connecting with yourself in this way helps you to keep on top of your reactivity and choose better responses. When I remember to do it, I really notice the difference.
Even if you just check in with yourself to notice your thoughts and feelings and prepare yourself mentally before you do whatever you're going to do, it will have an influence.
